Happy Saturday

Hello.  I hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

I was suppose to have a play with the ladies, but I wasn't feeling good last night and this morning, so I decided to just stay home and relax.  So football is playing and I am trying to get my craft table cleaned off so I can finish up some projects but right now I can't find my work area.

To that end, I finished up my Diamond Painting Scarecrow.  I made the turkey earlier in the week.  These were so much fun.  I really hope Hobby Lobby comes out with some Christmas one.

Well, I forgot to post this, so it has been sitting here waiting on me to finish it.  So a quick update, I have my whole desk cleaned off.  I am going to eat a late lunch and then I am going to put my vacation pictures in the album I made.  I will try to post pictures on the stamping page, later today.

Have a good one.  Chat with you later.

Diamond Painting

Hello.  Just a real short note.  And then I am off to watch TV with my husband.  I usually send Wednesday evening in my craft room but I have a small migraine (thanks to the rain in the area) and we are just going to relax a little while.

Earlier today, I was in Hobby Lobby looking through the fall section and I saw this little kit and I just had to pick it up.  I wanted more than one but that was all they had.  I love diamond painting.  It is so relaxing and I just love the end results.

I called my sister in South Carolina when I got and told her about them and she went and picked up a couple for her and another one for me.  She is going to mail it out tomorrow so hopefully I will get it before I see my son.  His girlfriend loves them more than I do so I really wanted a set for her.  Thank you Connie.

They are stickers but I left the paper on the back and added magnets.  I thought they would be adorable on my file cabinet in my craft room.  I finished the turkey today and I will work on the scarecrow this weekend.  I so hope they have Christmas ones.  I looked today but there weren't any but they are still putting Christmas out so maybe they will show up later.

I will try to get a better picture tomorrow.

That's it for now.  Have a great night and I will chat with you tomorrow.

Shadow Cat

Hello and good morning.  I hope everyone has a good day and gets the weekend started right.

My husband has been out of town for a couple of days working.  He is due back late this afternoon.  I plan on having a home cooked meal waiting on him.  And maybe a fresh loaf of bread.

Saturday is my monthly crop day with the ladies.  It is actually bi-monthly because part of us will get together again in two weeks.  Sunday is just relaxing and spending the day with my hubbie.

But enough of that,  I wanted to tell you about my spoiled and silly cat.  Her name is Shadow.  We have had her about 3 years.  She was a stray that just showed up and we couldn't say no to her.  She had been on her own for a while and she was starving.  She has to be able to get to her food constantly, or she will drive you crazy meowing for it.  I think she is afraid she won't get it anymore.

Because of that, we feed her dry food.  It is in our bathroom and she can get to it any time she likes.  Since she was so skinny when we took her in, I started feeding her can cat food to fatten her up.  She will only eat the gravy.  Occasionally. she will get some of the food, it just depends on whether she is super hungry or not.  Now that she is at her normal weight, she only gets a spoonful.  When I go in the kitchen and start messing around she will come in and sit on the floor next to her bowl, and look at me and her bowl.

I took this picture yesterday, while I was making up the Amish Bread.  She sat there the whole time I was mixing it up.  She can be so silly.  She knows she is only going to get it once a day and usually when we are eating dinner.  But she does try.

If you want to hear about the Amish bread, check out the recipe page, I will be posting the recipe later today.

That's it for now.  Have a great day and weekend.

Hello

Hello.  I know I have tried blogging several times and I always get involved in life and my site gets abandoned.  But since I am home full time again (sort of), I am going to try it again.

A short introduction.  My name is Sarah.  I live in Michigan with my husband and spoiled cat.  Our only son live about 2 1/2 hours away.

My husband is an electrician and runs his own company and I help out with the paperwork (which is mwh I say I am sort of home full time).  He is a great boss and lets me pick my hours.  As long as the work gets done, he is ok with it.  So there are times when I am working at midnight.

I love crafts of all kinds.  Mainly card making but I do throw in other paper crafts into the mix.  My craft table is always a mess and usually has several projects started.  I won't post every project on my craft page, but I will start posting more.

I love messing around in the kitchen.  I am always trying new recipes that I have found on the web, so check out my recipe tab.  I haven't gotten anything new on there yet, but hopefully over the next few days, I will get something up there.

The links page will take me a while but I will try to update it over the next few weeks also.

I guess that is it for now.  Please come back and check out what is happening in my insane life.

Long Time

Hello.  I can't believe I haven't posted anything on the home page in a while.  I am going to  try and post some thing at least once a week.

Some times, it is the small things that can make you happy.  I feel like just as soon as I get my kitchen clean, my husband comes through and leaves a dirty dish on the  counter or decides he wants a snack and he leaves the mess for me to pick up.

Well here is my nice clean stove.  I have told my husband the kitchen is closed for the night.  We will see if it works.   I doubt it.

I also got a cover for my Vitamix.  No more having water splash on it (it sits next to the sink) and leaving water marks on it.  It looks so tall.

I am smiling.  As I said, it is the little things.  Chat with you later.

Planning The Week

Hello.  I ended up with the day off so I am going to try to get my desk cleaned off.  Along with my craft table.  I have so much out that I keep knocking things.  Hopefully by the end of the day, it will be better.  Part of this is working on my planner.

I can't see me ever doing a YouTube video, but some times I might include my thoughts as I am planning.  I will try it today and see how it goes.

This week, I am using a red and gray color scheme with snowflakes and coffee cups (I don't drink coffee so actually hot chocolate cups). I am using a couple of kits from the Silhouette Online store (here and here).  The good thing about using them is I can resize the boxes to fit my Happy Planner,  But it takes longer because some of the designer don't group the cut marks and the image.

The weather is always up to with the days.  I didn't cover the days since I was using gray.  I thought the black worked okay.   Monday night, we are having our first deep freeze.  It seems to early in the season, but then we haven't had a lot of snow either.

Steps and hydration go at the bottom.  I really want to hit 10,000 steps each day.  The middle row is usually decorated boxes.  I like to add a picture on the bottom row.  We will see what the week holds.  I also didn't leave a lot of room for journaling.  I have been doing it in another book.  This is turning into my planner/decorating book.

It has taken longer to do this than I thought.  I kept getting pulled away, plus I printed some extra stickers and re-organized my sticker book.  Hopefully, next week, it won't take as long.

Happy New Year

Hello.  I hope every one had a happy and safe New Year's Eve.  I also hope you have a great 2016.

I have a quick card for you.  It will probably be the only card for tonight.  I still need to get a few more things done before I head to bed.

Isn't this penguin so cute?  I was going to make it a winter card but he has holly on his hat and his hat looks like a Christmas hat so I decided to go ahead and make a Christmas card for 2016.  I used traditional colors  because they just say Christmas to me.

I added gemstones for the berries in the holly and textured the background with my snowflake embossing folder.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
3 Girls Jam - Colors of the Season + Ribbon
Catch The Bug - Penguin Parade
Hiding in My Craft Room - Anything Goes
Catch The Bug - Sketch #320
Tuesday Morning Sketches - Anything Goes

Chat later.  Have a good one.
