Planning The Week

Hello.  I ended up with the day off so I am going to try to get my desk cleaned off.  Along with my craft table.  I have so much out that I keep knocking things.  Hopefully by the end of the day, it will be better.  Part of this is working on my planner.

I can't see me ever doing a YouTube video, but some times I might include my thoughts as I am planning.  I will try it today and see how it goes.

This week, I am using a red and gray color scheme with snowflakes and coffee cups (I don't drink coffee so actually hot chocolate cups). I am using a couple of kits from the Silhouette Online store (here and here).  The good thing about using them is I can resize the boxes to fit my Happy Planner,  But it takes longer because some of the designer don't group the cut marks and the image.

The weather is always up to with the days.  I didn't cover the days since I was using gray.  I thought the black worked okay.   Monday night, we are having our first deep freeze.  It seems to early in the season, but then we haven't had a lot of snow either.

Steps and hydration go at the bottom.  I really want to hit 10,000 steps each day.  The middle row is usually decorated boxes.  I like to add a picture on the bottom row.  We will see what the week holds.  I also didn't leave a lot of room for journaling.  I have been doing it in another book.  This is turning into my planner/decorating book.

It has taken longer to do this than I thought.  I kept getting pulled away, plus I printed some extra stickers and re-organized my sticker book.  Hopefully, next week, it won't take as long.

Happy New Year

Hello.  I hope every one had a happy and safe New Year's Eve.  I also hope you have a great 2016.

I have a quick card for you.  It will probably be the only card for tonight.  I still need to get a few more things done before I head to bed.

Isn't this penguin so cute?  I was going to make it a winter card but he has holly on his hat and his hat looks like a Christmas hat so I decided to go ahead and make a Christmas card for 2016.  I used traditional colors  because they just say Christmas to me.

I added gemstones for the berries in the holly and textured the background with my snowflake embossing folder.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
3 Girls Jam - Colors of the Season + Ribbon
Catch The Bug - Penguin Parade
Hiding in My Craft Room - Anything Goes
Catch The Bug - Sketch #320
Tuesday Morning Sketches - Anything Goes

Chat later.  Have a good one.
