Christmas Snowflake

I saw this card over on DOStamping with Dawn.  I just had to make some of my own.  I made them in green and red.

I hope you enjoy the card.

Christmas Hedgehog

I have two cards today to post.  This is the first one.  I saw this card style on Splitcoaststamper.  I just had to make one.  The circle opens the card up and then the other side opens to see the message.  I wish I had a better picture of the card opened.

I hope you enjoy the card.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hopefully later today, I will have a new card to post, but just in case I wanted to take a moment to wish all of those in the United States, HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

I hope you have a safe and happy holiday.

Honeycomb Paper

The other day when I stopped at my local stamp/scrapbooking store.  I found the cutest stamp set by Inky Antics

Each set comes with a stamp pattern.  You stamp the pattern on honeycomb paper (sold separately) and then cut it out.  Check out the inside of the card.  I picked up two sets and I am going to get the store to order me two more sets.  They are just so cute.

I hope you enjoy the card.

Same Fold As Before

Another with this fold.  I thought I would go ahead and use it for Christmas.  The little snowman is by Darcie's.

I hope you enjoy the card.

Thanksgiving Again

I am still working on Thanksgiving cards.  I just love this one.  The stamp is by Prickley Pear.  The inside message is CTMH.

I hope you enjoy the card.

Saturday Surprise

As I left work Saturday, my husband called me and told me to drive carefully on the way home.  That there was a storm hitting.  I have a 45 minute drive home and it rained the whole way.  When I reached my hometown there was snow on the ground.  I couldn't believe it.  It wasn't even Hallween yet.

The picture above was my front yard.  I hope this isn't a sign of a lot of snow this winter.

Happy Halloween

No card today.  Just a wish for a Happy Halloween.  If you have any treat or trickers, please be safe.  I will be back in a day or two with a new card.

Stampin Up Thanksgiving Card

I fell in love with the "It's A Wrap" set from Stampin' Up when they came out.  So I just had to have the holiday set.

I wasn't feeling good yesterday so I sat down and started playing with them.  I saw a similar card on Splitcoast Stampers and I just had to snag it.

I also used "Days of Gratitude" on the bottom of the card.

I hope you enjoy the card.

Thanksgiving Treat Bag

I love making treat holder for the various holidays.  I have just begun to look for Halloween and Thanksgiving.  I know I am running late on Halloween.

I ran across this one and I thought the Fall paper would be ideal.  I have gun in them right now but I may change it as Thanksgiving gets closer.

I used my Sizzixlet leaf die for the leaves on the front.  The paper is two sided paper I picked up at my local scrapbook store.  I wish I knew more about it but I didn't save the edge of the paper.  I will look next time I go in the store.

I want to make a few more of these for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The second card

This is the second card.  I made it with a sadden heart.  I have had two very close friends lose a family member this week.  My thoughts and prayers go out to them.  I know both will have a hard time of it for a while.

I used the Stampin' Up Thoughts and Prayer set for this card also.

Apple Tree

I have two cards for you.

The first one is another Fall card.  This is my favorite time of year so I get a lot of stamping done during this time.  I plan on working on Halloween and Thanksgiving cards until the last minute, then I will start on my Christmas cards.

This card will probably be a Thinking of you card.  I like to send cards out to various friends and family several times a month so I try to have 15-20 cards finished for this.

The tree is from the Stampin' Up Thoughts and Prayer set, the apple basket is from Denami Design ( I know you have seen it before.  It is a favorite.), and the Harvest Time stamp is from Papertrey.

Halloween Candy Corn

I love candy corns.  It is one of my favorite fall candies.  I haven't had any yet this year.  I am on a diet so I am trying to stay away from it.

The candy corn stamp is from one of my Stampin' Up sets and the Candy corn words are from Papertrey.

I hope you enjoy this new card.

I am a huge Split Coast Stampers fan.  I surf their website regularly.  I have gotten so many ideas from them.  I love looking through the resource section for not traditional cards.

This is a center step card.  You can find the directions here.  It is a very easy card to make.  When completed it is larger than the normal card so it will require extra postage.

If you have never been to Split Coast Stampers, go over and check it out.

Wednesday, October 5, 2011

I have been looking at the Friendship Jar Fillers from Papertrey for several years.  I love the set but I didn't want to buy the first set just for the jar.  It dawned on me last week that I had a jar stamp.  I went online and ordered the Fall set immediately.  It came in on Monday.  I have adore the set.

I also picked up the  pine bough die and the Merry & Bright die.  I used the pine bough die here.  I love it also.  You will be seeing it and the Christmas tree one again, I am sure.

It is hard to see here but the bottom pumpkin and acorn is cut out and raised with 3D foam tape.

Batty Halloween Card

Here is another no stamping Halloween card.  I used the Martha Stewart bat punch.  The card is white but I used a brush to dirty up the card some.

I hope you enjoy it.

October Birthday Card

I was short a couple of cards for my October birthdays.  I thought looked like fall, so I will be using it.

I hope you enjoy it.

Big Eyes

I saw this card at another site.  I just had to snag it.  No stamping was involved on the outside of the card, but I think several people on my Halloween list will enjoy it.

Embossed Pumpkins

The embossing doesn't show up real well, but it is there.

I hope you enjoy it.

Fall Riley

I am a huge Riley fan.  I don't have as many of his images as I would like but I am always adding to my collection.  I picked this one up at the Rubber Stamp Convention in August.

I think he came out pretty good. I even saved the copic numbers for this post.

Candy Corn

I have seen the candy corn cards several times and I just love them.  So this year I made one.

I am doing so well making cards in advance.  I am going to be so ready for the holidays this year.  I am going to start by holiday count at the end of each post to keep me motivated.

Fat Spider

A fun little spider by Stampendous.  I am not so sure about the  polka dots but I couldn't find anything else I liked better in my collection of Halloween paper.

Son's Birthday Card #2

This is my son's second card.  Yes, there is a theme going on here.  Alabama all the way....My son's nickname is Bama.

The elephant is by JustRite Stamps and the football is a Quikutz die.  The Happy Birthday is my MorningStar Stamps.

I hope you have a good day.

Alabama Roll Tide

We are huge University of Alabama fans in this house, even though we live in Michigan.  My son's birthday is coming up and I just had to use Stampin' Up's new elephant.  I can't wait for my son to see the card.

I have a couple more cards I want to do for him, so he may get multiple cards.

Wednesday, September 14, 2011

I bought this stamp from Outline Rubber Stamps last week. I have looked at it several times but I never remember until it is too late to order it for Halloween.

I might pull it out again and do a different design. I would like to cut out one of the pumpkins and 3D it. But it may be next year. I still have a few more stamps I want to use this year.

I hope you enjoy the card.

Same Stamp Multiple Cards

One of my closest friends sells Stampin' Up. My Mother always buys her stamps from her. When they come in I get to play with them before I ship them off to her. I always try to send my Mother several samples so she will have some ideas for the stamps.

She just ordered this one and I have three cards I want to make with it. I have got two done and am working on the last one.

I hope you enjoy them. I will post the last one later today.

Christmas Card #2

With this weekend being Labor Day in the USA, it is time to start thinking about fall and winter. So you will be seeing Halloween cards soon.

This is my second Christmas card for this year. It is hard to tell from the picture but the white is textured with a Sizzix embossing folder. Plus there are tiny gems on the tree square.

If I don't make it back on here before Monday, I wish every one in the USA a Happy Labor Day.

Summer Card

Sorry I haven't posted any new cards. I worked the Novi Stamp Convention for Denami. Then I left three after that for a 2 week vacation. We got home on Sunday and my son left on Thursday for college. So I had to unpack, do laundry and then repack. It has been a busy few weeks.

I had hoped to stamp during my vacation, but it didn't happen. I am working on birthday cards for September and then I want to start working on Halloween and Fall.

This will probably be one of my last summery cards.

Birthday Spinner Card

I forgot to post this one. I wasn't so sure about this stamp set when it came out. I borrowed it from a friend and played around some. What can I say, the set is growing on me. I have a couple of more cards I want to make with it before I give it back to my friend.

Thanks Allaina, you are the greatest for letting me use your stamps.

Another Patriotic Card

This was last year's card, but I thought I would post it again. The stamp is by Impressions Obsession. I cut the flag out and popped it. And there is flower soft on the flowers. If you haven't played with flower soft, you really should. I am going to pull mine out and make a card using it.

Never Ending Card Tutorial

This is the card we will be making. If you want a supply list for stamps and copic markers please check the last post.

Cut 4 pieces of cardstock at 3" X 6". Make them all the same color. Score the pieces at 1 1/2" all around.

Lay two of the pieces down as shown and put double sided tape in the corners. Remove the red lined paper and tape the other two pieces down laying the pieces in the opposite direction. See the picture below before you tape the pieces down.

I know this doesn't show alot but I hope you can figure out what I am talking about.

This is the front of the card. The green cardstock is 1 1/4" X 2 3/4". The striped piece is 2 3/4" square.

Now to make the first fold. Fold the top piece back to the middle fold. Do the same with the bottom piece.

Decorate only the two middle pieces. (The pieces with the milk shakes and the "You're The Sweetest".

After decorating these pieces, fold the middle pieces out (to the right and left). Make the fold at the half score marks.

The top and bottom should have a 2 3/4" square. If you want to decorate this fold make sure the decoration will not show on the other folds.

Fold the top and bottom back at the half score mark.

This is the back of the card.
