Another flower soft card for OCC sketch

I think this is one of my favorite ones with the flower soft and that is a hard choice to make, because I love all of them...

I used the stamp with the sketch on Card Patterns27.

Autumn Flower Soft
Another thing I bought at the stamp convention was flower-soft. Has anyone played with it?

Flower Soft is a pot of coloured sprinkles that allows you to create 3D designs and miniature floral embellishments, it’s acid free and easy to work with. It comes in several solid colors and even some mixed colors.

I picked up the Autumn colors, orange, sweet pea (which is a spring mixture) and Delphinium Blue (which is blue and white). I want the Christmas mix and the polar white mix next. I have a couple of stamps that I could use them with.

I have a couple of cards already made and I have at least one more I want to work on....

New Addition to Page

Good Monday Morning...I have added a card count on the side. I am hoping it will encourage me to get a few things done. Normally, I don't start holiday cards this early, but I bought some new stamps at the convention last week and I want to work with them so as I make the holiday cards, I will post how many I have made. Plus I really need to work on my son's scrapbook. Graduation is 9 months away and I know it is going to take me a while to get all the pages done.

I will be back later today with some pictures of the cards I have made recently.

Blog Hopping

This morning I am going to spend some time just surfing through some blogs. I thought I would list a few of them as I go. So this post will get updated as the morning goes along....

Crafting C's Crafting Library - Today is the first day, I have been to Claire's site, but I loved looking through everything. She is giving away some blog candy right now. I would love to win but I know I probably won't. Claire, thanks for all of your inspiration.

Now Libby's Crafty Scraps, it great if you like cuttlebugs and I do. I love my embossing folders and I enjoyed seeing what some one else had done with them. If you are new to using a cuttlebug, check out her tutorials.

While playing around, I ran across the SU INK blog hop. I won't list all of the sites, but take a look, I think you will enjoy what you see...

The last blog for today is Capture the Moment. Especially check out her tutorials. Lots of wonderful ideas.

I hope everyone has a good day. I am off to buy groceries.

New Stamp from the convention

I bought this chickadee from Impression Obsession. I wasn't completely sure about the stamp when I bought it but when I started playing with it, I began to really like it.

On the green one, I used crystal lacquer on the ornament. There is also a gold thread through the red ribbon that doesn't show up when I scanned it.

With the red one, I used black on my layering just because I thought it was not a traditional Christmas color. The bird and ornament are both cut out and popped up with foam tape. The ornament has pastel crystal glitter on it.

I can't believe that I am working on Christmas cards, usually I wait until after all of my Halloween and Thanksgiving cards are finished.

I hope everyone enjoys the cards I have made recently.

Another printworks card

Here is the last card with the set. It is time to put it up for a while. Maybe I will pull it back out next spring.

I also used this card for the color challenge over on OCC. It looks blue but everything really is purple.

Novi Convention

Both of the cards I posted today, I made earlier in the week. Today was the Novi, Michigan Stamp Convention. It is a huge convention and so much fun to attend. I always come home with so many ideas and a long wishlist.

The picture doesn't show everything and you really can't tell what everything is, but this is what I bought home....Lots of stamps, three stencils, an inkpad, 4 different colors of soft flower, a copic marker, and some embelliments. I am sure there was more but that is what comes to mind. Over the next few weeks, I am sure you will see cards made from some of it.

I have already got the first card started. I will posted it tomorrow, after I get the kitchen counter cleaned off.

Same Stamp Different Layout

Here is the next one. I really liked this one. The vase is 3ds on this one and I used the cuttlebug dot background on the dark pink cardstock. Everything is colored with copic markers.

I made two more cards with this stamp set. One is for the OCC Color Challenge and the last one I haven't quite finished yet. Hopefully you will be seeing it by Monday.

Printworks Again

Okay, here is the first card I made with this stamp. I love the little seed beads in the smaller flowers. It is hard to see from the picture but the green pot is cut out and pop up with 3d foam and there is a yellow eyelet in the center of the flower.

I will post another in a little while. I just need to put the finishing touches on it.

Printworks Stamp

I have had this stamp for a while and there is just so much you can do with it. I broke it apart this time around and I have 2 cards I want to make out of it.

I will post the cards when I get them finished.

Stamping 411 Sketch 108

I just had to do at least one sketch this weekend. I still have a few I want to play with. It just depends...

My son is always looking for sports related cards, he can use for birthday parties, so I thought this would work. I love the quickutz football and the cuddlebug background.

Mint Purses

I was playing around on various blogs and I ran across these adorable little candy bags. I think they will be perfect for a little surprise when my in-laws come to visit. I plan on leaving a little something on their pillows each night before they go to bed.

I found them at Lorri's site. Check her site out. She has some amazing things on it.

The bags are 4 1/4 X 1 3/4. The scoring is at 1 1/2 X 2 5/8. I didn't have the chocolate so I will tape them into the bottom later.

New Paper Pack

A local store had their paper packs on sale last week so I bought the "Blossoms Butterfly Stack" by DCWV. I picked up the 4 1/2 X 6 1/2 size. They are just perfect for making cards. Over the next few months, I will probably be making more cards with butterflies. I think I like every page in the pack.

Here are the first two cards.

Catching up

I have been so busy this week that I haven't posted any of my cards.

I am hooked on the stand up cards. Here are two more examples for you. I used the "Wagonful of Fun" set from Stampin' Up. It is a really fun set to play with. I will be using it again and again.

Stand Up Card

Okay, I made another card today. My camera doesn't show the card off very well. There is glitter around the flower and on the flower. And the card is purple....

I got this template from Splitcoaststampers. It was fun and I will be making more of them.

Sketch Card

I have had no muse as far as creating cards goes, so I have been looking for sketches to work on. This is the challenge from OCC. It was just simply make a card using red, white and blue.

I hope you like it.

Hello everyone out there in cyberspace. Here in Michigan, it is nice and sunny. Here is the card I was working on yesterday. I still need to work on my Stamping 411 card. Maybe later today. I also want to add some links on here.

Just Starting Out

Okay, I am new to blogging and I don't know how good I will be. I am not very good at writing down my thoughts so just bear with me.

It is Sunday afternoon and I have a few things I need to do but here I sit.

I started a new set of cards yesterday using Stamps by Judith. I hope to finish them after I get up from the computer. I also want to work on my Stamping 411 layout for the week. Then there is my son's scrapbook that needs some major work on it. I just don't have enough time to stamp.

My garden also needs some work done on it. I will probably wait until late afternoon to work on it. And of course I need to do some housework.
