Belated Birthday Bag

I went back to work this week. I always make a card and a treat for everyone's birthday and I missed two during the summer break. I love the Stampin' Up Top Note Die and I saw this watermelon on Prairie Paperie and I just had to snag the design. The box is a dark green, but it looks black in this picture.

I have seen so many boxes using the top note. I just adore them. I have seen a flag I want to make with it next.

Cuttlebug Machine

I have the Sizzix Big Shot. My mother has the Cuttlebug machine. I like both. My mother is always asking how to stack her machine for the various dies and embossing folders. I found this chart and I told I would share it in case someone else needs it.

You will need to be able to open pdf files on your computer.

Sleepless Night

I couldn't sleep so I decided to get up. I had something totally different in mind when I sat down at my stamping table but when I stamped out the scallop it was just too big. I wanted to do a card for the Denami Birthday challenge so this is what I came up with.

Simple but I think it is really cute. The little chickie has fun fluff on it.

Supplies:
Stamps: Denami Chickie with Flower (C72), Denami Small Dot Circle Frame (E114), MorningStar Circle Birthday (I02)
Copic Markers: Y11, G21, E97, YR02, R81
Paper: Paper Pizazz Pink/Yellow Plaid
Ink Pads: Colorbox Chalk Rouge
Accessories: Spellbinder Scallop Circles, Spellbinder Circles, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, Denami Fun Fluff

My violets

I have never had a green thumb. Two years ago, when my Grandmother died, she had a couple of violets in her carport/patio area. My mother, who can grow anything, told me to take them because she had never been able to keep violets. I just knew I was going to kill them. However, they have just been unbelievable. I started with three and now I have 7. These two were blooming yesterday when I watered them, so I took a couple of pictures.

I always think of my Grandmother when I look at them. Even though, we were close, I miss her.

Back to stamping

I have spent the last week moving my son into his college apartment. He actually moved on Saturday, but I have been cleaning up the mess since then. I still have a few things to do but hopefully by the weekend things will be back to normal.

When my parent's came for graduation, my mother bought some of her stamps. One was this lighthouse. I don't know who is it by but I finally sat down and colored it and then I had to come up with a card for it. I used the pocket card tutorial from Splitcoaststampers. The card is really easy to put together.
Supplies:
Stamps: Darcie's JCS0038
Copic Markers: C1, G24, R39, R27, E97, B32, Y02, E31, Y28
Ribbon: Robert Stanley Collection Item #941757

Red, White & Blue

I am and always will be very patriotic. I love using my patriotic stamps. My son's best friend just left recently for boot camp. He is stationed in Columbus, Georgia at Ft. Benning right now. If you live down south, you know the temperatures have been unreal. I feel for him having to go through basic training in triple digit temperatures.

I wanted to make him a card and I decided to try Splitcoaststamper's weekly tutorial, (The tent card). It was fun and quick to make. It will be a tutorial that I will use again. I did make one change, my bottom accordion section was 3 1/2" X 5 1/2".

Supplies:
Stamps: House Mouse "Patriotic Wrap", Stamp It "God Bless America/lg"
Copic Markers: E31, E33, R27, Y11, B24
Papers: The Paper Patch "Navy tiny stars/scarlet tiny stars", basic white, red and blue cardstock
Accessories: 2 largest Spellbinder circles, Paper Studio Star Punch

Stamping 411 SSC164

I haven't been doing a lot of stretches lately, but I am going to try to get a couple done this week. I am also going to try and put a little bit more detail on what I used to make the card.

This stretch will be from Stamping 411.

Once again, I am still playing with my Denami Design stamps. I will be moving on eventually. You can't see it but I used fun fluff from Denami on the chickies.

New Copic Marker Storage

I was out looking for bargains on Friday and I found this utility container that I thought would be perfect for my copic markers. I don't have a lot but I bet it will be full before next summer starts.

Another Denami

I started this one on Friday, but I just haven't taken the time to take a picture. Both of the pears are Denami Design stamps. I put glitter on the larger pear and on the middle strip on the plaid background.

The plaid strip is the same one I used on the last card.

Denami Design Stamp

I am still playing with my new Denami stamps. It took forever for me to design this one. I couldn't figure out how I wanted it to look. I knew which stamps I wanted to use but that was it.

I love the plaid background. This is a single strip and you make the plaid. I have several background stamps, but I think this will be a favorite. So many possibilities.

It is hard to tell but there is glitter on all of the little pool floaties.

Novi Stamp Convention

Sorry I have been missing. I have been working on a few projects around the house, reformating my computer and getting my son ready to leave for college. We will be moving my son into his college apartment in a little under two weeks. I still have a lot to do. Then school starts two weeks later which means I will be going back to work. It will be strange not seeing my son in the school but it hopefully will be a good year. This past weekend, I worked at the Novi Stamp Convention for Denami Designs. If you aren't familiar with their stamps, check them out. It was a fun and enjoyable weekend. I really enjoyed meeting Nami and her family. Her two sons are sweet, polite, cute and well behaved. I would bring both home with me in a heartbeat. I hope I get to work for them again next year.

I came home and had to play around with some of my Denami stamps. You will be seeing a lot of them over the next few days/weeks. This is a cute little apple basket. I did it in yellow, red, green and a mixed basket.
