Beautiful Weather

The weather here in Michigan has been beautiful.  Cool nights and warm not hot days.  I have been busy trying to get some things done.

I hate posting without a picture so I am using another one from Trestle Park.  I will be posting all of them on the photo page in just a few minutes.

Checking In

Where did last week go?  It has been so busy since school started back. Between my two jobs, I haven't had a day off since Labor Day. 

I love to take pictures but I don't get as many chances to use my cameras since my son graduated from high school.  I am going to start taking at least one afternoon a week to go somewhere. 

This week I went to Trestle Park.  It was such a pretty afternoon.  The park has extensive walking trails.  I spent a half an hour just walking the trails.

All about my week

Hello everyone.  I hope you have had a great week.  My whole household are big college football fans.  We love to watch SEC football.  I think it is one of the toughest divisions out there.  Our favorite team is the University of Alabama.  Over the next few weeks, you will probably hear alot about Alabama.

We had our opening game last Saturday against University of Michigan.  We live in Michigan so this was a big game for us.  We went over to some friend's house to watch the game and have dinner.  It was a great night.  Needless to say, Alabama won.

Monday was Labor Day in the good ole USA.  I had the day off and it was probably the last day off for a while.  I didn't do alot.  My husband and I just relaxed and enjoyed the day.

Tuesday school started back and that meant back to work for me.  I am a cook at the local school (K-12), so we feed about 1200 kids lunch and 300 kids breakfast.  The first week is always hectic.  This year even more, because we have new federal guidelines.  You can read the basic guidelines here.  It looks good on paper but it is a lot of extra week and food.  So far, the kids have been very accepting so that helps.

I woke Friday with a migraine and it stayed with me all day.  Today and tomorrow I work my second job.  I have managed to find time to stamp so there are new cards to look at over on the stamping page and I also tried a new recipe.
