Welcome to the weekend

Hello and how is every one doing?  I have been in the funk lately.  I got a cold and then developed a cough and I really haven't been doing a lot.  Plus I have been reading a really good book.

I finally sat down to decorate my planner for this week.  I am doing Halloween themes all month long except next week.  Next week is my birthday week and I am doing pink and Breast Cancer Awareness.  It should be fun.

On to this week.  I thought I would take some pictures and I decorated.  I am trying to stick to jack-o-lanterns and sweet treats.


I started with the bottom of the page.  I am using the jack-o-lantern washi from the Dollar Store.  I don't have the colors figured out yet but I am thinking mainly black and orange.  We will see when I start adding things.

After that I went to the top of the page.  For the last few weeks, I have been covering up the dates and making my own.  This week, I went with more jack-o-lanterns and then added a black number on the side for the date.  Really really cute.

Now to do the sidebar and the morning, afternoon and night headers.  I always put washi across them.  I don't have a lot of narrow washi so I just cut to the size I want.  I usually leave the leftover washi on my cutting board.  When I picked out the paper for the side, I wanted to see what my stickers were going to look like on it, so I went ahead and added a pumpkin sticker. 

I have recently picked up several set of weather stickers off of Etsy.  The ones I am using today are from The Adorable Elephant.  I put them partly on the washi so that the clouds will show up.  I started writing with the Bic Mark It marker, but it is a thicker than I like, so I changed back to my Paper Mate Flairs.

Saturday

Hello.  I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.  Now that football season has started, my husband and I usually have a game day plan.  Lots of snacks and football.  However, he is trying to finish a big job up at work, so he will be working until late tonight.  The Alabama game will still be on but not all the normal snacks.

So instead of spending the morning in the kitchen, I am in my craft room.  I am determined to get it cleaned up.  I cleaned off my desk and craft table.  All of the projects are spread all over the floor.  I am going to see how many I can get done today.  Right now, there are 26 projects on the floor.  Let's see how many I can get done today.  Not all of them are craft related.  Some have to do with my computer and work.  There is even a couple of food related projects. 

So I will chat with all of you later.

Planner week August 24th thru 30th

Hello everyone.  I know I still need to post some shots of previous weeks but I thought I would write some thoughts as I was putting the week together.  Usually I do this early, but I was waiting on some stickers and this was just a busy week.

My theme is Elephants.  I am getting ready for the first college football game next week.  So you will see Elephants again.  The colors will be red and gray.  For the first time, I am using some full boxes.  I don't mind white space but I wanted to add the colors.

I made the weather stickers along with the grocery bag and the feet circles.  The feet are bigger then I wanted so when I print more I will size them down.

I am having trouble with my step tracker so I am not keeping my steps every day.  It might be time to look around for a different brand.

I am not using as many sticker from my elephant set as I thought.  The colors are just off.  Maybe later.

My son's room is done in University of Alabama colors and I have this cute little stuffed elephant on his bed.  I just had to include a picture of it on the page.

I like the weekend done in gray but I didn't want it all gray so I went looking through my scrap bag and found some light red paper.  And even though, I would it at the bottom, I added the gray weekend banner on it. 

It just dawned on me that I never finished this post.   Bad me.  And now I am even further behind.  I am going to get my desk cleaned off tonight and tomorrow after running some errands, I will try to get another post together.

Also I started an instagram account.  I am only going to use it for my crafty projects (planner, cards, project life, etc.).  It is psbpreston.  I am just learning the ins and outs so just bear with me.

Happy Weekend

Hello everyone.  I am in the middle of a long weekend full of work.  One more day.  I will be so glad when tomorrow is over.  I am hoping it will be an early day.  Next week is my last week off from school.  School starts back the Tuesday after Labor Day and I will be in the kitchen bright and early to help with breakfast.

Yesterday and today, I got a couple of planner orders in.  This is the first time I have ordered sticker and I was extremely happy.  I didn't order a lot.  I will probably be placing a bigger order this week.  Most of what I got in was theme related.  Elephants and footballs.

These were from Imagine That by Lori.  You will be seeing both of these alot.  My theme is football next week so I am going to use several then.  The water can was a little big but that is okay, maybe I will get better at watering the flowers.

More footballs.  I thought I would use the game day full blocks for each Saturday. I will be a few weeks short so I will have to do some thing else or order more.  I love the free set of cupcakes.  They will be perfect for birthdays.

This is the last order.  It has elephants in it for this week.  I haven't finished this week because I was waiting on these to come in.  I know the full boxes will be short because I use the Happy Planner but I have a plan for them.

More Planner Time

Hello.  Last night after I posted the weekly picture, I decided to play around a little bit.  I made a bunch of stickers for next week and the first week of September.  I have a feeling that the next two weeks will be the same colors.  I am doing elephants next week (which is the mascot for the University of Alabama) and then the first week of September will be football.  I can't wait.  I just love football season.  There will be a football on every week until the season ends.

I also made some weather circles, but I didn't take a picture of them.  I will try and remember to take one next time, I print them.

Happy Saturday

Hello.  I don't know why but it seems like a Sunday instead of Saturday.  I am behind on my planner/memory pages.  I went on vacation to my parent's and when I got home I could find my card.  I have been using the camera on my phone but I just didn't think the planner pages looked right.  I finally found it tonight.

I have one week to show you tonight and then I will have another one tomorrow.  I will have several more once I get some pictures developed.  My pages lately have been a lot of writing but at least one picture per week.  Now that I have my camera back, hopefully I will be taking more.

I have July 6th through 12th to show you tonight.  I went with bright colors with a few ice creams here and there plus a page insert.  I love the flower pot picture.  I need to get a new one since the flowers have grown.  Maybe at the first of September, that way I will have the pictures two months apart.

Happy Planner/Scrapbook

Hello.  I am back again with a couple more pages in my Happy Planner. 

Week of June 22nd - 28th
   I went with a fruit theme.  I thought it would be red, and green.  Super bright.  But when I started putting the pieces together, it ended up pink, red, and minimum of light green.  That is ok, I like how it turned out.

   We have gotten a lot of rain.  Which has made every thing green.  And given me lots of time for reading.  Especially since, I pulled a muscle in my neck.

Week of June 29th - July 5th
   4th of July week....This is one of my favorite weeks.  I just love all of the red, white and blue.  I didn't do as much decorating as I usually do.  The time just snuck up on me.  The theme in my planner was red, white and blue.  I went easy, because I had a lot I could have added.  I love the dashboard, I made and added plus the pinwheels.

   We had a cat show up at the door one night this week.  I really didn't want a pet, but it would not go away and it was so hungry for food and loving.  We ended up taking her end.  She is about a year and so loving.   She will be a happy addition to the family.


I am just a picture short of having the next week done.  I will try to get it done the first of next week.  Unless I find some more pictures to print out.  Plus I want to get this week done earlier.
